Equestrian sports

As Munich was the Olympic city in 1972, for Riem it was more than a lucky stroke of fate that the site was chosen as the venue for the equestrian events. The facility was expanded to 30 hectares and immediately after the Olympic Games transferred directly into the possession of the Free State of Bavarian.

After completion of the new buildings in October 2003 a modern centre for equestrian sports and horse breeding emerged alongside the Olympia equestrian centre. Furthermore, the 27 hectare sized plot with the Olympia riding stadium offers, with its position close to the city, unique organisational possibilities for events in the form of open air concerts and all types exhibitions. Experience top class equestrian events, such as Horse International, the Bavarian or Youth Championship or the South German Stud Days with the best in year chosen for breeding.
